Lindsey LOVES being a girl.
In fact she even found a shirt stating soShe is a girly girl alright, yet she loves to help Daddy with yard work, climb a tree occasionally and hunt for roley polies. She is very well rounded.
She has the most amazing eyes, just like her Daddy!
Here are a few pictures taken during our Spring Break trip. Our last vacation as a threesome, the next vacation we will have baby SISTER with us. :)

she's My Girl!! :)
Spring has Sprung
The weather over the weekend was unusually warm for this time of year. So naturally there is a case of Spring Fever going around at our house. David likes to work in the yard despite his off the chart allergies. (so if you happen to drive by the house and see a masked man in the yard, it's just David he wears a surgical mask to help minimize the affect of the pollen) Poor guy. I can't imagine him not being able to goof around in his yard, he certainly doesn't let his allergies stop him. He had Friday off, Lindsey was out of school for Parent/Teacher conferences, so after our conference with her teacher (which went very well) David and Lindsey headed to Lowes (remember the Spring Fever I mentioned earlier?) for starters this is what came home:
David spent most of the weekend cleaning up the yard and flower beds getting them ready for summer.
Lindsey also got her garden planted. When we moved into this house almost four years ago Lindsey decided she wanted her very own flower garden. There was perfect spot right under her bedroom window so of course Daddy made it happen. She has had a pretty garden every year since then. She picked out some plants for her garden and she and Daddy planted them on Saturday. Nice job! (notice the handmade stepping stones)

I got caught up on some stuff around the house over the weekend. (no "pregnancy naps" for me this weekend) and I am feeling it today. My feet are so swollen I had a hard time finding shoes to wear this morning. Wish I could sport my flips. All in all it was a productive weekend.

I know, I know
I can't seem to slow down enough to do the things I want to do. Work has been insanely busy, and being pregnant on top of that really wipes me out. Things are going great with the baby. I am getting HUGE. I don't even recognize myself sometimes. Oh well, it is all worth it. We did manage to get away for spring break. We went to Orange beach, AL. It was so relaxing. David and both read a couple of books and Lindsey swam as much as she could in the hotel pool.
We have also, well Lindsey and David have been working on the nursery. I am painting some canvas art for the nursery and making burp cloths etc. (when time permits LOL) My Mom sent me the most beautiful quilts that she made for the baby. She started quilting when she found out she was going to be a grandmother the first time (Lindsey). She has made Lindsey a quilt for every season, I am not exaggerating. We have one for Valentine's Day, St. Patrick's Day, Easter, Fourth of July, Fall, and Christmas along with several "everyday quilts". They are all so pretty. My Mom is super crafty and very creative. I get my crafty genes from her most definitely. I will post some pics of the baby's room and the awesome quilts my Mom made soon.
